VCU Basketball is looking for alternative scheduling options to tip off its 2020-2021 season with news today that the Volunteer Classic has been canceled after multiple positive COVID-19 tests within the program of host Tennessee.The Rams were set to open their season on Thanksgiving night at 7 p.m. against Charlotte at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, and then play the 12th-ranked Volunteers on Friday.Tennessee, in the wake of the news regardin stanley spain g the positive COVID-19 tests, has temporarily paused all team activities.As of right, VCUs next scheduled game would be on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Penn State. The Waynesboro School Board announced Tuesday that it will begin the process of hiring a new superintendent by seeking public input on qualifications for a new superintendent. Superintendent Robin Crowder said last week that he plans to retire at the end of the current fiscal year on June 30. Crowder has been in the superinten stanley cup dent position for six and a half years. Hiring a new superintendent is the biggest task facing a school board and we want to make sure that the public has a voice in this process, said School Board Chair Jeremy Taylor. We hope that parents, staff and residents will take time to fill out the survey or attend the public hearing. The School Board will make available a survey related to superintendent criteria, which is available at surveymonkey/s/5SHQ2QQ.聽 Hard copies of the survey will also be available at the school board administration offices and each school office.聽 All surveys are due by Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 10 stanley kubek a.m.In addition to the survey, the board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Jan. 29.
