With the start of the 2016 Click It or Ticket聽spring mobilization campaign, the Virginia State Police is taking this opportunity to remind motorists of the need to always buckle up when driving and/ stanley usa or riding in a vehicle.The two-week, concentrated educational and enforcement initiative began Monday, May 23, 2016, and runs through Sunday, June 5, 2016. The annual Click It or Ticket campaign combines high visibility enforcement of seat belt and child safety seat laws with outreach and education.According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA , those who use a seat belt are 45 percent less likely to be fatally injured in a crash. In addition, if all passenger vehicle occupants age 5 and older involved in fatal crashes had worn their seat belts, an additional 2,814 lives could have been saved in 2014 alone nationwide.Virginias statewide seat belt use rate was 80.9 percent in 2015, 77.3 percent in 2014, 79.7 percent in 2013 and 78.4 percent in 2012 stanley becher .
