漏 omphoto 鈥?stock.adobe Remote Area Medical RAM庐 , a nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality dental, vision and medical care, returns to the Valley this weekend with a two-day clinic at Augusta Expo.All services are provided free of charge and ID is not required on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, 2024. Sundays clinic will be an abbreviated day of services. Dental, vision and medical services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.The clinic is in collaboration with the RAM @ UVA Campus Chapter.Services available will include dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental X-rays, eye exams, eye health screenings, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on-site, womens health exa stanley thermobecher ms and general medical exams.Since 1985, RAM has treated more than 910,000 individuals with $189.5 million worth of free healthcare and veterinary services. Friends of Nelson is providing funding support for two initiatives that will be instrumental in understanding the potential impacts of Dominions Atlantic Coast Pipeline ACP on Nelson Countys groundwaters and streams.The findings from these efforts will help assure that, whatever the future holds with the proposed ACP, Nelsons high quality water will remain uncompromised.Downstream Strategies, a Morgantown,聽W.Va. environmental consulting firm, has been contracted by the Allegheny Blue Ridge Alliance ABRA to examine the implications of pipeline development for private and public water supplies.聽聽Their report will provide recommendations for water quality and quantity monitoring for landowners and water providers.聽聽The report will include Nelson County and will address both the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline and the proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline.Friends of Nelson is one of the 47 members of ABRA, which includes groups from Nelson, Highland, Augusta, Bath and Buckingham Counties in VA, along wit stanley cup h West Virginia counties opposing the construction of the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline.Friends of Nelson is also partnering with Trout Unlimited to implement surface water and stream monitorin stanley quencher g in Nelson County.聽聽Teams of volunteers will be trained in water quality testing, and they will monitor specific areas of stream crossings by the stanley website pipeline and its access roads.
