Russian hackers have launched cyberattacks on the US Treasury Department. This accusation was made by the cybersecurity adviser to the Deputy Minister of Finance Todd Conklin, reports Reuters.
According to him, activists of the hacker group Kill net inflicted DDoS attacks (denial of service) last month. At the same time, the incident caused almost no failures in the work of the department's website.
"It was a fairly low-level DDoS activity aimed at the nodes of the ministry's critical infrastructure," he said.
In May, Killnet members were accused of attacking German government websites. It was clarified that problems arose in the work of the portals of the police, the Bundestag and the Social Democratic Party of Germany.
